The person behind the bakery.

Doolittle’s Bakery is run out of a fully licensed commercial bakery in Wilmington, NC, inspected and approved by the state. What started as cakes for family and friends turned into something people kept asking for more of.

My name is Eliza, and it’s a true pleasure to meet you! I am originally from up North, but have been living here in Wilmington for over 13 years. I love it here and am happily raising my beautiful children, who love getting to try my practice batches.

Baking has been a passion of mine all my life. When I was little, my family would call me Eliza Doolittle. Having no idea what that meant at the time, I would reply, “I don’t do a little, I do a lot!” Everything I do, I pour my heart into, and give it my all.

Growing up, I was always the one bringing numerous baked goods to any and every event. I’ve been baking since I was just a little girl, starting with an old-school Easy-Bake Oven, burning my fingers making treats for my family and friends. Some of my fondest Christmas gifts growing up were baking supplies and materials.

My love for baking runs deep, and I have worked hard to perfect each item I make. It’s a joy to know how to bake and to bless others with something handcrafted with pride and love. When you place your baking needs with me, you get high-quality results from someone who truly loves what she does. I look forward to baking for you.
